Digital Photography Photo Clubs for 2011
We offer digital photography photo clubs where you can learn how to take better digital photos, enhance your digital photos, create shows, and explore all aspects of the digital darkroom. Each club has different prerequisites for computer skills and camera skills that are listed in the summaries of each club below. All clubs are photo-enhancing clubs and meant to improve your basic computer skills as related to photos, folders, organization software, and editing software.
We are a computer oriented lab and not a camera shop. We teach the basics of digital cameras, but the main emphasis in the clubs is "after the shot, what do I do?"
When available, we invite all club members to participate in Photo Scavenger Hunts around town, invite special guest lecturers, and exhibits. We also have special field trips to take different types of photos.
Here are some samples of our students' and instructors' photos: Photo Galleries
The membership is yearly and starts in January. Registration has started. Each Club meets monthly on its designated day of the month and time. If there are vacancies or openings in any club, you are welcome to join in mid-year. Please call the office 451-4611 for further information.
