Create Your Own Google Website

Prerequisites:
The student should have a basic knowledge of Windows, and experience on the internet.
Requirements:
You must have a Google account. Go to Google, sign up for Gmail (a Google Account), remember your password and bring it to class to get started. Bring photos on a flash drive, to use on your site.
Description:
Create your own web site by using Google Sites. It's free! The site can include text, photos, your favorite links, and auto-play Picasa Web Album or a Video. In order to get the most out of this seminar, you might want to come with an idea of what type of web site you'd like to have. Do you want to show paintings or photos? Do you want to tell a story about your family or a vacation? Do you want to form a neighborhood web site? Or, just to learn how to make any type of web site. We will help you create all that with Google Sites. Bring photos and your ideas and have fun, too. We'd like to limit this seminar to 6 students so we can provide more one on one assistance. Bring a flash drive so you can take the handouts home.
Goals:
- The first session will introduce you to the features
- The second session we will create your site
