Description: This seminar is for those who would like to learn how to take advantage of "cloud computing" to backup files on their computers or to share large files (i.e. too big for email) with others. You will learn about the best software, where the files are stored, and how safe and secure they are. The presentation will focus on introductions and descriptions of two popular cloud programs, DropBox and Carbonite. You will also learn about future trends. Learn about the "Cloud" and have the fun and convenience of always having your software with you on any PC.This class consists mostly of lecture and demonstration, but there will be opportunities for some hands-on activity. |
